Free Demonstrations and Discussions on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine

For the third year in a row, the Asian Heritage Street Celebration will feature a health section entitled Healthy Living Pavilion. This area of the street fair will comprise of many community health groups and sponsor booths that will collectively promote health and wellness. The Healthy Living Pavilion, which will be located on Larkin Street between Fulton and McAllister, will include a variety of free and low-cost health services, professional medical advice and health-related educational material for the community.  New this year is a feature on alternative medicine.
 
Experience Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage, herbs, teas, moxa, acupressure, qigong, meditation, and many more at the East West Academy of Healing Arts and World Congress on Qigong/TCM booths located at #F 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

 There will be continuous activities throughout the day of FREE demonstrations and discussions on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies: ie. energy assessments, healing of pain and stress management sessions with these therapies, tui nah ahn moh (Chinese Classical Massage sitting and lying), Qi-pressure, Energy Brushing, Proper Posture and Breath, Energy Testing, Qigong Exercises and Meditation, Lao Gong Point Healing, Cupping, Moxa, White Flower Ointment, and the super nutrient Laminine (Qigong in a Capsule!) and MORE!

Five Branches University will be giving a brief introduction to the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Massage, Nutrition, and Energetics. Ms. Nancy Burns, L.Ac. will take participants on a short journey through the medical and philosophical origins of TCM. She will discuss current practices of the medicine in California and throughout the United States, and demonstrate forms of TCM used in clinical practice today, including acupuncture, moxa, and cupping.

Master TianJia Mu is a Qi Gong Master from Tian Gong International Foundation (www.tiangong.org), a non-profit and non-religious Qi Gong school dedicated to service through the empowerment of individuals and the healing of the Earth.
