The Asian Heritage Street Celebration is organized by the AsianWeek Foundation in cooperation with over 51 organizations in the Asian American community. The AsianWeek Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 committed to developing the Voices of Asian America. All proceeds from the Celebration will be donated to local and national charities.
The festival will be located in the downtown South of Market area in San Francisco, on Howard Street between 5th and 7th Streets. Fairgoers are encouraged to walk, bicycle or take public transportation to the 3rd Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration. Public Transportation: Take Bart or Muni to Powell Street Station. From Market Street, head west towards 5th Street. Turn right onto 5th Street and end at Howard. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition will provide valet bike parking at 5th Street and Howard Street. Bicyclists will enjoy a smooth ride to the fair, since Howard is a flat street. Designated bike lines going East/West are on Howard Street, Folsom Street. Bike lanes North/South are on Seventh Street and Eighth Street. Other transit lines *Check arrival times at www.nextbus.com* F - MARKET & WHARVES Driving: Roads may experience congestion, as this year’s location is in the busy South of Market district near hotels, shopping, Yerba Buena Gardens and Union Square. However, there is also plenty of parking garages in the area. The best prices are at the Fifth and Mission Garage, and the Hearst Garage on 45 Third St near Stevenson. From Oakland:
