Faces of Asia Cultural Procession
The Faces of Asia Cultural procession returns to the 8th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration and is a chance to showcase and celebrate the diversity of the Asian community. Once again, the AsianWeek Foundation is currently looking for participants to dress in cultural attire and/or uniforms (e.g. boy scouts), to walk in a procession held at the street fair.

This year, the procession will begin behind the Fulton Street Stage, proceed north on Larkin Street and end in front of the Ellis Street Stage. All the procession participants must be present at the Fulton and Larkin Street stage area at 10 AM on May 19, 2012. The procession will start promptly at 11 AM.
Each ethnic group will be holding their country’s flag, as well as an identifying sign with their country or region’s name (you will need to bring your own flag, but the sign will be made by the Celebration committee and provided to a representative of the group on the day of the event). Each group will also be able to play cultural music as they walk in the parade so each group will need to bring their own boombox and musical selection.
